The Finance Minister Kiril Ananiev and Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Nikolai Nankov also took part in the inspection.
"Bulgarians need to know that the quality of our builders’ work is of the highest standards," Borissov said, noting progress along the route.
Borissov also commented that Bulgaria is beautiful, but there are areas in which construction is not easy. He added that with this motorway the whole of Northern Bulgaria will be revived.
According to him, this year the section between Lovech and Pleven will be launched. He noted that construction is taking place during a pandemic, while many of our neighbours are in lockdown.
