Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and 11 cabinet ministers are in Bucharest, where a joint meeting of the governments of Bulgaria and Romania was held on 29th of March.
It was followed by another quadripartite summit between Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Serbia. The leaders of the four Balkan countries gather in this format at the initiative of Prime Minister Borissov, and this is their seventh meeting.
In the energy sphere, the Bulgarian PM expressed hope that the turning the first sod could be made for the interconnector with Greece.
Bulgaria and Romania have undertaken to carry out feasibility studies on the location of the future third bridge over the Danube.
This was said by the two prime ministers at a briefing at Victoria Palace in Bucharest.
Viorica Dăncilă, Prime Minister of Romania: We will continue with specific actions to improve shipping on the Danube, with maintenance and infrastructure projects, including a study to establish a specific place to build a new bridge over the Danube.
