Bulgaria has envisaged BGN 15 million for antigen tests, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said on November 20 after last night’s European Council.
The Prime Minister reminded that the vaccines will be voluntary, free of charge and certified by the European Medicines Agency. He expressed his confidence that the anti-epidemic measures applied in Bulgaria should continue to be flexible rather than complete lockdown.
Boyko Borissov, Prime Minister: We are buying 1.5 million rapid antigen tests because when we reach the plateau and the number of cases begins to drop a bit so that we can then know the whole picture and how many have recovered, how many have antibodies, for how long the risk persists. This will be very important, because through the antigen tests, which are then confirmed by PCR, we will be able to travel freely and more freely between European countries.
