The average debt per person is 912 BGN and has doubled for the past two years. Most often the Bulgarians have debts towards banks, followed by the telecoms. Quick loans are again the main reasons for bad debts.
It turns that most frequently people resort to quick loans to buy mobile phones, tablet or TV.
As reasons for delayed payments debtors point forgetting to pay instalments. Debt collectors report that in the first months of 2017, debr collection is more difficult probably because of high household bill in the winter.
The largest number of bad debtors for 2016 were in the cities of Stara Zagora, Blagoevgrad and Sofia.
