The Council of Ministers approved a draft of the Framework Convention on Tourism Ethics and a draft of its Optional Protocol to it of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), the press office of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers said on 13th of September.
These are the first mandatory documents the organization has ever compiled. The content of the Convention is fully based on the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism and aims to promote the values in the industry, the report states.
The adoption of the Framework Convention on Tourism Ethics and the Optional Protocol to it is scheduled to take palce within the 22nd session of the WTO General Assembly, which will be held in Chengdu, China, between 11-16 September 2017.
