Bulgaria will assume the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union on 1st of January 2018, Bulgaria’s foreign minister Daniel Mitov said on 27th of July.
“Assuming the rotating presidency six months earlier should mobilise and motivate us further to make it successful and Bulgaria to make its contribution to a stronger and more efficient EU,” the minister wrote on his Facebook page.
