Bulgaria will participate in Eurovision 2017. The public broadcaster, Bulgarian National Television, began looking for a partner for the Bulgarian representative in Eurovision – the candidates can be production companies or professional teams with a comprehensive concept for the participation. Their proposals need to include a song, artist and strategy for stage performance, as well as a project for the costs that the production company is ready to bear. The deadline for submission of concepts is 20th of January, 2017.
A record high 43 countries will participate in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Ukraine’s capital city, Kiev. The Semi-Finals will take place on Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th May, with the Grand Final on Saturday 13th May.
At the 61st edition of the Eurovision song contest in 2016, Bulgaria’s representative Poli Genova performing the song „If Love Was a Crime“ was voted into 4th place at he Grand Final.
