The police in Katerini has investigated 13 illegal adoptions. The suspicions are that the criminal ring has been operating for at least 3 years. According to the findings, the suspects looked for pregnant women in Bulgaria, who had financial difficulties and convinced them to sell their babies. Then the suspected criminals transferred the women to Katerini, where they remained until they gave birth.
