Soldiers from various military formations in the country will join in helping the hospitals from the structure of the Military Medical Academy, the medical institution announced on November 17.

The first group from Musachevo, Gorna Malina and the Military Police Service is already on site in the military hospital in Sofia and is assisting the experts from the Scientific Centre for Military Epidemiology and Hygiene, headed by Colonel Assoc. Prof. Andrey Galev.

The uniformed officers were assigned duties related to disinfection and thermometry, as well as support activities in the Laboratory of Virology of the Military Medical Academy.

The Head of the Military Medical Academy, Major General Prof. Dr. Ventsislav Mutafchyiski, personally thanked them for their support in these times of hardship.

The teams will rotate every two weeks and will be deployed in all military hospitals in the country. Every year, dozens of servicemen from various military formations receive military medical training, which allows them, if necessary, to be involved both on battlefields and in various incidents with mass casualties.
