Miners from Babino pit of Bobov Dol coal mine started an underground protest on 11th of October. This morning, 120 miners went underground to work and said they would not go out after the end of their shift.
According to the trade unions, the main demands of the protesting miners are related to the 22-23% wage reduction since August.
“We are having talks with the miners and hope things will be sorted quickly," the Director of the pit, Atanas Kaptiev said.
Currently, some 700 people work in Babino pit.
