Bulgarian opera singer, Sonya Yoncheva, received the title of Officer of the French Order of Arts and Letters in a ceremony led by the French Ambassador to Bulgaria, Joel Meyer.
The award was presented to her on February 27 at the French Embassy in Sofia.
The ceremony was attended by Luc Levy - Director of the French Institute and advisor on cultural cooperation, Sofia Opera Director, Acad. Plamen Kartalov, diplomats, relatives and friends of the singer.
