56 migrants who illegally crossed into Bulgaria were found in the early hours on 30th of September in a freight train arriving at Svilengrad station, Ministry of Interior’s press office said.
The train was arriving from Turkey.
Bulgarian border police said that 12 of them were Syrian nationals with ID documents, but 40 of the migrants were undocumented, claiming they were from Syria.
Currently, the police are interviewing the foreigners to identify where they come from. They are going through registration and all required procedures.
