The district prosecutor’s office in Harmalni pressed charges against three more people, two from Afghanistan and one from Iraq, in relation to the 24th of November disturbances in the refugee accommodation centre in Harmanli. The prosecutor’s office said on 16th of December.
The charges are for hooliganism and resistance to authority characterized with exceptional cynicism and impudence. There is collected evidence that the three of them participated in the disturbances in the refugee centre. Two of them were ordered to regularly report in person to the authorities and the third one, who is a juvenile (16 years old), is ordered to be under the supervision of an inspector from the services dealing with children in conflict with the law.
The Prosecutor’s office pressed charges against 18 other Afghan national. 15 of them are on remand and three of them were ordered to be under the supervision of an inspector from the child services.
The investigation into the case in on-going. Assessment reports on the value of the damages of the state property is awaited.
