Bulgarian Radoslav Yankov, the FIS Crystal globe winner for 2016, claimed victory in the parallel giant slalom at the World Snowboard Cup 2017, which took place in Banderishka Polyana piste in Bulgaria’s winter resort of Bansko on 3rd of February.
My dream was to ride in front of a crowd in Bulgaria. I hardly thought I would win. I believed I could win, but I do not like thinking about rankings. I tried to focus on the riding and obviously it helped me, Yankov said.
On 3rd, 4th and 5th of February 2017, Bansko winter resort will host the best snowboarders of the world.
The 3-day World Cup event will be held on the last station of the Gondola lift, Banderishka Poliana.
