The leader of the centre-left Bulgarian Socialist Party, Kornelia Ninova, On September 5, submitted documents to the Central Election Commission (CEC) for registration to participate in the local elections. She arrived with election campaign chairman Kiril Dobrev, members of the party leadership and mayoral candidates.
BSP for Bulgaria also submitted 10,000 signatures in support of the candidates.
Kornelia Ninova said that the battle for the post of Sofia mayor and other cities would not be easy, but her party will take part with the hope and belief that the model of municipal governance could change.
