Bulgaria’s Central Election Commission made a decision to suspend the use of voting machines in the district of Veliko Turnovo on April 4 because of technical problems.
When counting the votes, the leading principle will be the number of the party or coalition. Preferences will also be respected.
CEC explained that there was a software problem. The data in the devices are entered by the contractor of the public procurement.
The votes cast by machines have been recorded and will be counted.
As at 16.00, there has been no decision on whether the machine voting in the district of Veliko Turnovo would resume or not.
