At its regular weekly meeting tomorrow, the Council of Ministers will include an agenda item for approval of an extention of the epidemic emergency period, the outgoing Prime Minister and leader of centre-right GERB party Boyko Borissov said in a video on Facebook on April 27.

He held a meeting with the outgoing Minister of Tourism Mariana Nikolova, Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov and representatives of the largest tourist associations and tour operators in the country.

According to Borissov, tour operators want to know how the 2021 summer season will go.

The outgoing Minister of Tourism Mariana Nikolova stated that Bulgaria is ready for the beginning of the summer tourist season and it will be held in compliance with all protocols.

The Ministry of Tourism will present a unified protocol for arrival in the country, Nikolova added. It will be agreed with all health authorities.

"The rules for entering Bulgaria should be competitive with those in other countries. They must help Bulgarian tourism. There will be three ways to enter the country. The first - with a vaccination certificate. The second way will be with a negative PCR or certified antigen test. The third possible way will be through a document proving natural immunity after being ill and recovered from Covid-19, up to 6 months before the date of entry into the country," explained the outgoing Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov.
