BULGARIA’S PRESIDENT AWARDED RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR WITH THE HIGHEST STATE ORDER

Bulgaria’s President awarded Stara Planina Order 1st class to Yuriy Isakov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Bulgaria. The outgoing diplomat received the highest state award for his contribution to the development of the Bulgarian-Russian relations.

During the official ceremony on 29th of August, Bulgaria’s Head of State said that the order was a recognition for the ambassador’s diplomatic skills, the significance of the dialogue with Russia and the willingness for its development. On his part, Isakov defined the 8 years in Bulgaria as difficult but the best in his life. He stressed the proximity of the Bulgarian and Russian peoples and said he would visit Bulgaria often.
