Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev praised the Agreement of Friendship, Goodneighbourliness and Cooperation between Bulgaria and Macedonia signed on 1st of August, a statement of the President’s press secretariat says on 2nd of August. Radev highlighted that "a new, European page has been turned" in bilateral relations.
The Head of State recalled that the signing of the Agreement became possible thanks to long years of efforts of diplomats and statesmen. He called for a prompt ratification of the agreement by the Parliaments of the two countries, fulfilment of the conditions set down in it and implementation of the agreed projects in the name of the prosperity of the people in both countries. Radev stressed the need of systematic efforts to implement the Agreement.
