The President also signed a decree to dissolve 43rd National Assembly on 27th of January.
Through another decree, he appointed former Parliament Speaker Ognyan Gerdzhikov as caretaker Prime Minister.
Gerdzhikov, currently a professor of law and head of an arbitration court, served as Speaker of Parliament from 2001 to 2005.
