On the basis of Article 99, paragraph 5 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, President Rumen Radev on August 1, 2022, signed a decree dissolving the 47th National Assembly on August 2, 2022. The Head of State set 2 October, as the date 2022, for the early parliamentary elections.
By another decree, President Rumen Radev appoints a caretaker government from 2 August 2022. The Head of State will present the tasks and priorities of the caretaker government at a ceremony in the Coat of Arms Hall at the presidential institution tomorrow at 12.00.
The caretaker government will include:
Gulub Spasov Donev as caretaker Prime Minister.
Mr Lazar Manolov Lazarov as caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Social Policies and caretaker Minister for Labour and Social Policy.
Hristo Vladimirov Alexiev as caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policies and caretaker Minister for Transport and Communications.
Ivan Petev Demerdzhiev as caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and caretaker Minister for the Interior.
Mr Atanas Angelov Pekanov as caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for the Management of EU Funds.
Ms Rositsa Atanasova Velkova-Zheleva as caretaker Minister for Finance.
Dimitar Zhelyazkov Stoyanov as caretaker Minister for Defence.
Assen Georgiev Medjidiev as caretaker Minister for Health.
