Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov expressed his deepest condolences over the earthquake, which claimed several lives and caused material damages in Croatia. Prime Minister Borissov had a telephone conversation with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on December 30.
"I express my sincere condolences to the relatives of those killed in the quake. The whole of Bulgaria shares the sorrow of the Croatian people, we express hope for a speedy recovery of those injured and early restoration of the material damages," he said.
Borissov also said Bulgaria was ready to assist with restoration efforts: “We are prepared to help our friend Croatia. It is at moments like this that we must stand united in solidarity.”
