Bulgaria’s Vice President, Iliana Iotova, tested positive for coronavirus on January 27. She is in good general health condition with mild symptoms. Her closest associates have also been tested and with negative results.
The head of state, President Rumen Radev, is in good health and also took a test for coronavirus, which had a negative result. The most recent contact of the head of state with the Vice President was on January 20 this year.
The necessary measures have been taken for disinfection of the work environment and for the normal functioning of the presidential institution.
