The Central Election Commission is ready to prepare the holding of the parliamentary elections on April 4, the chairman of the Central Election Commission Alexander Andreev told BNT on January 14.
The Commission will coordinate its action in accordance with the anti-epidemic measures. About 9,600 machines will be provided for the parliamentary elections. Possible changes in the electoral legislation Andreev commented as follows:
Any change that is close to the date on which elections are to be held may create certain difficulties as these last-minute changes must be taken into account, but in any case, if they are made, the CEC will conduct the elections in accordance with the adopted and existing legislation at the time of the elections.
