Code yellow alert is in effect Monday in 6 regions of Northern Bulgaria because of heavy snowfall.
Dangerous snowfall is expected Tuesday in 9 districts - Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Targovishte, Shumen to the north and Smoljan, Kardzhali, Haskovo, Jambol and Burgas to the south.
Interior Ministry has set up a task group to handle the complicated winter situation in the country. Interior Minister Mladen Marinov is chair of the group which includes representatives of all institutions responsible for keeping normal winter conditions in the national road infrastructure.
