Code yellow weather alert was issued on February 8 for a very strong southwest wind in almost the entire country, with gusts above 100 km/h possible in the eastern part, as well as in the areas north of the mountains.
The south wind will keep temperatures much higher than usual - the maximum in most parts of the country will be between 15° and 20° per Celsius. They will be lower in the northwestern regions, where it will remain almost windless and in many places visibility will be reduced. The clouds will be more often significant and in some places it will rain. The precipitation in the Rila-Rhodope mountain region will be more significant.
During the night the wind will weaken and will be temporarily oriented from the northwest, and the clouds will decrease. Tomorrow's minimum temperatures in most areas will be between 2° and 7°, slightly higher on the Black Sea coast.
In the morning the clouds will start to increase. It will rain, first in Western Bulgaria, and on Wednesday night - in other parts of the country. The wind will again be oriented from the southwest and will be moderate, in Southeastern Bulgaria temporarily strong. It will stay warm, with maximum temperatures between 12° and 17°.
