Weather warning has been issued for heavy rains in the Southern Bulgaria for January 10. Code yellow is in place for snowfall, strong winds, possible snow drifts and black ice in the Northern Bulgaria.
It will be snowing in the region of Sofia during the night. The snow cover is expected to reach 15-17 cm.
In the upper Thracian lowlands, as well as on the Northern Black Sea coast, in the morning the rain will be mixed with snow. The minimum temperatures will be from minus 1 ° to 4 °.
A warning for significant amounts of rain is in force for the Southern regions of the country and along the Black Sea coast. Maximum temperatures will be from around zero in the northwest to 6 ° -7 ° in the south.
In the mountains it will be cloudy, foggy and with precipitation. Snow is expected at altitudes of 1,300 m above sea level.
On Monday and Tuesday, the rains will continue, with temporary interruptions and variable intensity. In Northwestern and Central Northern Bulgaria, as well as in the high fields in the West, it will mostly snow and snow cover is projected to increase. There will be rain and snow in the rest of the country. After a temporary stop on Wednesday, it will rain again on Thursday.
