The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,029 from 10,774 tests (including 5,435 PCR and 5,339 antigen tests), data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on January 5.
525 tested positive from the PCR tests and 504 from the antigen tests. The positivity rate is now 9,55%.

Blagoevgrad - 24; Bourgas - 39; Varna – 102; Veliko Turnovo - 38; Vidin – 4; Vratsa - 37; Gabrovo – 12; Dobrich - 23; Kardzhali - 13; Kyustendil - 23; Lovech - 35; Montana - 18; Pazardzhik - 25; Pernik - 20; Pleven - 59; Plovdiv - 94; Razgrad - 10; Rousse - 47; Silistra - 22; Sliven - 29; Smolyan – 4; Sofia district - 19; Sofia city – 178; Stara Zagora - 46; Targovishte - 1; Haskovo - 37; Shoumen - 48; Yambol - 22.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 204,080.
The active cases are 71,621.
Of the total, 4,405 patients are in hospitals, 411 of them being in intensive care.
