Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,068 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,068 from 11,091 tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on February 16.

514 were confirmed from PCR and 554 from antigen tests.

The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:

Blagoevgrad - 72; Bourgas - 37; Varna – 37; Veliko Turnovo – 26; Vidin – 2; Vratsa - 38; Gabrovo – 18; Dobrich - 10; Kardzhali - 8; Kyustendil - 30; Lovech - 15; Montana - 7; Pazardzhik - 30; Pernik - 11; Pleven - 43; Plovdiv - 95; Razgrad - 4; Rousse - 25; Silistra - 17; Sliven - 36; Smolyan – 7; Sofia district - 28; Sofia city – 298; Stara Zagora - 49; Targovishte – 2; Haskovo - 52; Shoumen - 53; Yambol - 18.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 230,747.

The active cases are 23,500.

Of the total, 3,421 patients are in hospitals, 289 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 656 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 197,576;
• 2,048 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the total to date to 77,436;
• 47 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 9,671.
