Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,150 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,150 from 6,855 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 24.

Test positivity rate is 17%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,236,660.

The active cases are 13,393.

Of the total, 920 patients are in hospitals, 50 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 2,608 recoveries;

• 1,765 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 2 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 65,39% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100,00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 146 new hospitalisations, of which 80,82% had not been vaccinated.
