Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,189 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,189 from 6,103 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 18.

Test positivity rate is 19,5%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,230,822.

The active cases are 18,309.

Of the total, 1,024 patients are in hospitals, 53 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 2,147 recoveries;
• 2.320 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;
• 3 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 67,96% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100% had not been vaccinated.

There were 157 new hospitalisations, of which 69,43% had not been vaccinated.
