Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,429 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,429 from 6,541 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 11.

Test positivity rate is about 22%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,222,948.

The active cases are 22,707.

Of the total, 1,084 patients are in hospitals, 55 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 3,702 recoveries;

• 2,898 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 9 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 66.55% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100.00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 183 new hospitalisations, of which 76.50% had not been vaccinated.
