The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,739 from 6,190 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 19.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 68; Bourgas - 97; Varna – 149; Veliko Turnovo - 48; Vidin – 20; Vratsa - 93; Gabrovo – 22; Dobrich - 35; Kardzhali - 19; Kyustendil - 28; Lovech - 33; Montana - 14; Pazardzhik - 63; Pernik - 39; Pleven - 50; Plovdiv - 122; Razgrad - 25; Rousse - 106; Silistra - 28; Sliven - 57; Smolyan – 10; Sofia district - 55; Sofia city – 281; Stara Zagora - 97; Targovishte - 17; Haskovo - 79; Shoumen - 53; Yambol - 31.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 190,027.
The active cases are 86,909.
Of the total, 6,535 patients are in hospitals, 536 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 2,984 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 96,622;
- 157 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 6,496.
