The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,799 from 6,233 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 23.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 50; Bourgas - 145; Varna – 180; Veliko Turnovo - 41; Vidin – 20; Vratsa - 68; Gabrovo – 18; Dobrich - 94; Kardzhali - 21; Kyustendil - 14; Lovech - 32; Montana - 14; Pazardzhik - 62; Pernik - 49; Pleven - 64; Plovdiv - 160; Razgrad - 10; Rousse - 87; Silistra - 21; Sliven - 45; Smolyan – 23; Sofia district - 56; Sofia city – 263; Stara Zagora - 82; Targovishte - 44; Haskovo - 53; Shoumen - 53; Yambol - 30.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 194,271.
The active cases are 82,302.
Of the total, 6,123 patients are in hospitals, 526 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 2, 424 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 105,090;
- 114 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 6,879.
