The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,959 from 6,113 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 17.
This means that 32% of the tested were positive.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 68; Bourgas - 108; Varna – 184; Veliko Turnovo - 6; Vidin – 24; Vratsa - 49; Gabrovo – 32; Dobrich - 51; Kardzhali - 9; Kyustendil - 41; Lovech - 34; Montana - 23; Pazardzhik - 57; Pernik - 53; Pleven - 61; Plovdiv - 182; Razgrad - 14; Rousse - 102; Silistra - 36; Sliven - 68; Smolyan – 14; Sofia district - 87; Sofia city – 333; Stara Zagora - 104; Targovishte - 13; Haskovo - 110; Shoumen - 38; Yambol - 58.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 186,246.
The active cases are 89,540.
Of the total, 7,034 patients are in hospitals, 570 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 2,575 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 90,510;
- 191 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 6,196.
