The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,037 from 5,986 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 6.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 53; Bourgas - 182; Varna – 287; Veliko Turnovo - 10; Vidin – 22; Vratsa - 85; Gabrovo – 15; Dobrich - 75; Kardzhali - 6; Kyustendil - 74; Lovech - 42; Montana - 18; Pazardzhik - 86; Pernik - 44; Pleven - 35; Plovdiv - 127; Razgrad - 16; Rousse - 26; Silistra - 10; Sliven - 119; Smolyan – 12; Sofia district - 79; Sofia city – 389; Stara Zagora - 40; Targovishte - 12; Haskovo - 32; Shoumen - 54; Yambol - 87.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 160,844.
The active cases are 95,442.
Of the total, 6,959 patients are in hospitals, 516 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 996.The total recoveries are 60,673.
79 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 4,729.
