Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,185 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,185 from 14,747 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on April 16.

1,287 were confirmed from PCR and 898from antigen tests.

The latest cases registered in the districts are as follows:

Blagoevgrad – 70; Bourgas - 125; Varna - 207; Veliko Turnovo – 58; Vidin – 17; Vratsa - 38; Gabrovo – 37; Dobrich – 81; Kardzhali - 37; Kyustendil - 33; Lovech - 28; Montana - 31; Pazardzhik - 62; Pernik - 31; Pleven – 34; Plovdiv - 232; Razgrad - 20; Rousse - 92; Silistra - 19; Sliven - 41; Smolyan – 30; Sofia district - 83; Sofia city – 538; Stara Zagora - 82; Targovishte - 32; Haskovo - 61; Shoumen – 38; Yambol - 28.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 382,761.

The active cases are 67,391.

Of the total, 9,523 patients are in hospitals, 811 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 3,393 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 300,391;

· 14,998 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the total to date to 620,375;

· 108 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 14,979.
