Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 257 new cases from 2,072 PCR and rapid antigen tests

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 257 from 2,072 tests (1,060 PCR and 1012 rapid antigen tests), data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 26.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 196,915.

The active cases are 80,976.

Of the total, 5,580 patients are in hospitals, 512 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

- 1,186 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 108,866;

- 6 medical professionals tested positive, bringing the to date to 8,677;

- 50 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 7,073.
