The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,814 from 6,825 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 1.
This means that 41.2% of the tested were positive.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 131; Bourgas - 152; Varna – 213; Veliko Turnovo - 88; Vidin – 7; Vratsa - 89; Gabrovo – 59; Dobrich - 43; Kardzhali - 7; Kyustendil - 34; Lovech - 17; Montana - 34; Pazardzhik - 67; Pernik - 51; Pleven - 76; Plovdiv - 303; Razgrad - 15; Rousse - 144; Silistra - 65; Sliven - 73; Smolyan – 38; Sofia district - 66; Sofia city – 696; Stara Zagora - 201; Targovishte - 16; Haskovo - 61; Shoumen - 52; Yambol - 16.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 145,300.
The active cases are 90,700.
Of the total, 6,783 patients are in hospitals, 457 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 1,971.The total recoveries are 50,565.
A total of 6,028 medical professionals have tested postive for the virus since the start of the epidemic, including 178 new cases overnight: 58 doctors; 55 nurses; 23 healthcare assistants; 4 paramedics and 38 other medical staff.
221 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 4,035.
