Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 309 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 309 from 2,319 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on October 20, 2023.

Test positivity rate is shortly above 13%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the pandemic are 1,320,021.

The active cases are 4,889.

Of the total, 445 patients are in hospitals, 27 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 136 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 1,276,619

• 4,753 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to 4,673,018;

• 3 Covid-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 38,513;

Of the daily cases, 58,90% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 33,33% had not been vaccinated.

There were 55 new hospitalisations, of which 56,36% had not been vaccinated.
