The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 3,475 from 9,056 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 2.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 119; Bourgas - 318; Varna – 271; Veliko Turnovo - 97; Vidin – 21; Vratsa - 82; Gabrovo – 74; Dobrich - 40; Kardzhali - 27; Kyustendil - 120; Lovech - 39; Montana - 59; Pazardzhik - 70; Pernik - 78; Pleven - 111; Plovdiv - 355; Razgrad - 32; Rousse - 140; Silistra - 36; Sliven - 52; Smolyan – 30; Sofia district - 93; Sofia city – 722; Stara Zagora - 245; Targovishte - 7; Haskovo - 92; Shoumen - 69; Yambol - 76.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 148,775.
The active cases are 91,587.
Of the total, 6,635 patients are in hospitals, 493 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 2,435.The total recoveries are 53,000.
A total of 6,236 medical professionals have tested positive for the virus, including 208 new cases overnight (56 doctors; 73 nurses; 22 healthcare assistants; 3 paramedics and 54 other medical staff).
153 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 4,188.
