The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 3,983 from 9,786 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on November 21.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 153; Bourgas - 157; Varna - 302; Veliko Turnovo - 91; Vidin – 19; Vratsa - 73; Gabrovo - 117; Dobrich - 62; Kardzhali - 16; Kyustendil - 133; Lovech - 37; Montana - 76; Pazardzhik - 79; Pernik - 80; Pleven - 93; Plovdiv - 409; Razgrad - 30; Rousse - 156; Silistra - 73; Sliven - 93; Smolyan - 23; Sofia district - 107; Sofia city – 1,031; Stara Zagora - 315; Targovishte - 26; Haskovo - 75; Shoumen - 56; Yambol - 101.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 118,418.
The active cases are 81,252.
Of the total, 5,942 patients are in hospitals, 383 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 1,061. The total recoveries are 34,388.
A total of 4,641 medical professionals have tested positive for the virus since the start of the epidemic including 152 new cases registered in the past 24 hours: 50 doctors; 53 nurses; 18 healthcare assistants; 4 paramedics and 27 other medical staff.
129 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 2,778.
