Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 4,467 new cases, positivity rate is 24%

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 4,467 from 18,808 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on March 23.

The positivity rate is 24%.

2,038 were confirmed from PCR and 2,429 from antigen tests.

The latest cases registered in the districts are as follows:

Blagoevgrad – 190; Bourgas - 98; Varna - 281; Veliko Turnovo – 129; Vidin – 33; Vratsa - 68; Gabrovo – 64; Dobrich - 65; Kardzhali - 47; Kyustendil - 73; Lovech - 65; Montana - 105; Pazardzhik - 105; Pernik - 43; Pleven – 162; Plovdiv - 373; Razgrad - 44; Rousse - 185; Silistra - 126; Sliven - 92; Smolyan – 73; Sofia district - 132; Sofia city – 1,289; Stara Zagora - 239; Targovishte - 34; Haskovo - 117; Shoumen – 163; Yambol - 72.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 307,890.

The active cases are 58,671.

Of the total, 8,689 patients are in hospitals, 691 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 2,260 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 237,031;

· 7,465 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the total to date to 376,370;

· 169 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 12,188.
