The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 577 from 1,424 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 7.
The largest number of the latest cases were registered in Sofia (190), Varna (126) and Bourgas (85).
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 161,421.
The active cases are 94,378.
Of the total, 7,000 patients are in hospitals, 516 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 1,573.The total recoveries are 62,246.
68 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 4,797.
