The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,243 from 7,659 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 27.
This means that 29% of the tested persons are infected with the virus.

Blagoevgrad - 130; Bourgas - 77; Varna - 106; Veliko Turnovo - 35; Vidin – 2; Vratsa - 37; Gabrovo - 34; Dobrich - 14; Kardzhali - 44; Kyustendil - 20; Lovech - 20; Montana - 28; Pazardzhik - 40; Pernik - 46; Pleven - 28; Plovdiv - 209; Razgrad - 28; Rousse - 87; Silistra - 4; Sliven - 43; Smolyan - 22; Sofia district - 52; Sofia city - 913; Stara Zagora - 60; Targovishte - 27; Haskovo - 34; Shoumen - 60; Yambol - 43.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 40,132.
The active cases are 20,346.
Of the total, 2,130 patients are in hospitals, 149 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 296. The total recoveries are 18,650.
The medical professionals who have tested positive for the virus are 1,948 in total, including 65 new cases over the past 24 hours: 27 doctors, 17 nurses, 6 healtthcae assistants, 15 other medical staff.
42 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 1,136.
