The specialised criminal court on 8th of April ruled to remove the mayor of Bulgaria’s coastal town of Sozopol, Panayot Reyzi, from the post. He is accused of misappropriating BGN 2 million of municipal funds.
Rayzi is firm that the amount in question was neither appropriated nor siphoned off.
The Chief Accountant of the municipality Zlatka Musseva was also removed from office.
