Sofia City Court returned the indictment against the former minister of the economy Traicho Traikov, former minister of finance Simeon Dyankov and businessman Ivo Prokopiev to the prosecution.
The charges pressed against them and three others are in connection to the case for the sale of state-owned shares in EVN electricity distribution company.
The case was returned for remedy of procedural irregularities. According to the court, there are uncertainties about the extent of the damages, who caused them and how they were caused. The indictment against Traikov does not contain details as to whether he was familiar with the privatization agency's decisions.
With regard to Djankov and Prokopiev, there are no data showing that they acted in complicity and that they wanted to benefit the investment intermediary.
After it is corrected, the indictment is likely to be filed in the Specialised Court, which as of 6 November will take on high-level corruption cases.
