Four more districts in Bulgaria have been re-designated as Covid-19 red zones, thus bringing the total to 12.

The weekly analysis of the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic diseases shows on February 9 that the number of Covid-19 cases exceeds 120 per 100,000 in the districts of Blagoevgrad, Pernik, Shoumen and Yambol.
The districts of Veliko Turnovo, Gabrovo, Smolyan and Montana also report increased number of cases and are re-designated as orange zones, because the number of infections is more than 60 per 100,000 people.
Vidin, Razgrad, Targovishte and dobrich remain in the covid-19 yellow zone as the number of cases in them is less than 60 per 100,000 people.
