From May 1, there will be 3 requirements for entry into Bulgaria, outgoing Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, announced at a briefing on April 23.
Entry into the territory of Bulgaria will be possible if meeting one of the 3 requirements:
- vaccination certificate with completed vaccination course, or
- negative PCR or antigen test result, or
- a document proving natural immunity after being ill and recovered from Covid-19, up to 6 months before the date of entry into the country.
The natural immunity after having been ill with Covid-19 will not be proven by a hospital document, but by a positive PCR test result or a quick test. The period in which this result can be used is 14 days to 6 months, the Chief State Health Inspector Angel Kunchev explained.
The types of antigen tests that meet the conditions will be uploaded on the website of the Ministry of Health.
