Direct air service between Sofia and Baku will be launched from 1st of January 2018. This became clear at a joint press conference after the meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria on 13th of October in Baku.
Bulgaria’s President Roumen Radev is on two-day visit to Baku, at the invitation of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.
The official visit of President Radev to Baku started with a solemn ceremony in Zagulba Residence.
President Ilham Aliyev described Bulgaria as a close friend and strategic partner. The two presidents see opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, tourism, agriculture, culture and education.
The specific result of this visit is the launch of direct air service between Baku and Sofia.
